LaserHQ is thrilled to be working with local charity – The Diane Oxberry Trust on the second phase of there ‘Spread the Word in three’ campaign, to raise even more awareness about the signs of Ovarian Cancer.

The charity was set up in honour of the much loved BBC broadcaster Diane Oxberry, following her death from Ovarian cancer in January 2019, to encourage people to take just three minutes our of their day to help save lives! The charity does really important work in raising awareness of Ovarian cancer and its symptoms, and the fact that Diane tragically died just ten days after she was diagnosed with the disease shows the importance of early diagnosis.

With figures from Ovarian cancer showing that only 3 in 10 women diagnosed with the cancer live beyond 10 years, early diagnosis is vital when it comes to achieving more positive outcomes.
The Main Symptoms to look for are:-
- Weeing more often
- Overly bloated feeling
- Reduced appetite or feeling full more quickly
- Dull ache or pain in the pelvis or tummy

Helen Quayle from LaserHQ said ” “We are thrilled to partner with The Diane Oxberry Trust, to raise as much awareness as we can. The moment I heard about the charity I knew we could help! Early detection is key to improving the prognosis for women with Ovarian cancer and it’s vital that we spread the word highlighting the key symptoms, which people may not be aware of. 100’s of women visit our clinics across the North West region on a weekly basis and we want to educate as many as possible and use our social platforms to spread the word even further!”
Ian Hindle, Dianne’s husband, said” We are hugely grateful to Helen and the team from LaserHQ for generously supporting our work and for agreeing to help us reach as many people as possible in the North West with this important message.”
